    WPP-owned corporate PR firms merge in deal to challenge rivals

    FINSBURY is to merge with Glover Park Group and Hering Schuppener to form Finsbury Glover Hering. Managers have bought a 49.99% stake in the new entity from WPP. Finsbury founder Roland Rudd will become co-chair alongside Glover co-founder Carter Eskew, while Hering managing partner Alexander Geiser has been appointed chief executive of the group. It will be headquartered in New York, with 700 staff across 18 offices worldwide including 130 partners or managing directors.
