Philip Morris spoofs Mission Impossible with £2m campaign calling on smokers to quit
PHILIP MORRIS has launched an anti-smoking campaign asking friends of smokers to help them quit. The 'Hold my light' campaign launched with a website and a film where a women makes her way through a laser field to relinquish her cigarette lighter to a group of friends. The Tobacco company also had a wraparound in the DAILY MIRROR on 22 October featuring the campaign. The work encourages smokers to ask friends and family to pledge small offers of support if they commit to giving up smoking for an initial 30 days. The ad was created by Trigger, with content handled by Other Creative. Merkle Periscopix and Amplifi handled biddable media and programmatic video display, while campaign strategy and some media buying was handled in-house. THE PHA GROUP handled PR and social alongside the in-house press team.
