Global chip-maker AMD appoints TBWA\London
AMD has appointed TBWA\LONDON to handle its global advertising account after a competitive pitch. The pitch was against two other global agencies, including WIEDEN & KENNEDY, with the review handled directly by the client. Its first campaign will launch in autumn across 18 markets, including Australia and Germany. Activity will include video content, digital, social, retailer and partnership communications.

TBWA campaign urges parents to 'come out' for their LGBT+ children
TBWA\LONDON is working in partnership with the Naz & Matt Foundation to launch an initiative encouraging parents to accept their children coming out. A social media drive running under the hashtag '#OutAndProudParentsDay' aims to help conservative or religious parents to understand or accept their LGBT+ children. The day marks the fifth anniversary of the loss of the Naz & Matt Foundation founder's fiance, who took his own life after being confronted about his sexuality by his religious family. The agency has made a film showing parents 'coming out' as parents of LGBT+ children and expressing how proud they are of them, which will run across TWITTER, INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK.
