    Simon Davis resigns as Blue 449 chief in shock move

    BLUE 449's Simon Davis has resigned from his role as UK chief executive. Davis is said to have disagreed with the way Publicis Media has handled its decision to make Blue 449 part of SPARK FOUNDRY's global network in March. He will be replaced by managing director Lindsay Turner.

    Lastminute.com spreads in-housing gospel after insourcing media

    LASTMINUTE.COM is launching Playbook, a consultancy that will assist other brands through the process of in-housing parts of their media and marketing operations. The brand has brought most of its own media in-house across Europe. It has previously worked with MANNING GOTTLIEB OMD. The company will continue to work with agencies on above-the-line campaigns including PUBLICIS LONDON. SPARK FOUNDRY handled media for its 'Whatever makes you pink' campaign last year. Playbook will be part of a new media company that will sit within Lastminute called Forward alongside The Travel People, its media and trading business. Chief commercial officer for media and partnerships, Alessandra Di Lorenzo has been appointed Playbook chief executive.
