    Lancaster's Fat Media acquires Reading Room for £1

    READING ROOM has been purchased by Fat Media for a nominal £1 fee. Its former owner, Idox, announced plans to close the digital agency earlier this year in the hopes of saving £3m annually. Reading Room will retain its brand identity following completion of the acquisition.

    Reading Room owner Idox announces closure of digital division after "major review"

    IDOX has announced it is closing its digital division following a review of its finances and operations. Closing the division is expected to save the business £10m a year. It previously reported £14.7m annual revenues with an operating loss of £1.5m. It is unclear what the closure will mean for the two digital agencies recently acquired by Idox, Reading Room and Rippleffect.
