Ad watchdog bans Rizla poster for suggesting smoking is 'safe
PROXIMITY created two posters to promote Rizla's new packaging which have been banned by the ASA following three complaints. The complainants suggested the ads appealed to under-18s and suggested smoking is 'safe'. The outdoor spots featured the tagline 'Fold. Tuck. Protect.' with imagery of two people dressed as security safes and the word 'safe' spray painted on a wall behind them.
