Centrica calls global pitch to integrate creative, media, CRM and more
BRITISH GAS owner Centrica has announced a review of its global creative, media strategy and buying, CRM, data, content and public relations as it looks to move towards an integrated marketing model. The pitch covers all of Centrica's consumer businesses in the UK, Ireland and the US, including British Gas, Local Heroes and HIVE in the UK. MEDIACOM has worked with British Gas on media buying since 2016, OGILVY has handled CRM since 2008, and THE & PARTNERSHIP has worked on creative since 2003. It is understood that the process will be led by group CMO Margaret Jobling, advised by ID Comms, and that agency holding companies have been contacted regarding the pitch. It is estimated that Centrica spends £100m on marketing globally, more than half of which in the UK.
