    Ogilvy loses British Gas DM account

    OGILVY has lost the BRITISH GAS direct marketing account after being dropped by its owner Centrica's integrated review alongside sister agency WAVEMAKER. Ogilvy had worked on the British Gas account since 2007. Centrica's review includes creative, media planning and buying, content, CRM, PR and data in the UK, Ireland and the US.

    Teams from WPP, IPG and Publicis Groupe battle it out for Centrica integrated account

    BRITISH GAS and HIVE owner Centrica will hear pitches from four agency teams for its integrated creative, media strategy and buying, CRM, data, content and PR business. Media and creative incumbents MEDIACOM and THE & PARTNERSHIP will team up with WUNDERMAN THOMPSON to pitch for the business. CRM incumbent OGILVY is partnering with WAVEMAKER. MCCANN will form part of the Interpublic Group team and several unnamed agencies from Publicis Groupe will also compete for the account. ID Comms is handling the review. Centrica held chemistry meetings last week.
