    Hotwire global COO and EMEA head Alex MacLaverty departs

    HOTWIRE's global chief operating officer and head of EMEA, Australia and New Zealand Alex MacLaverty is leaving the agency. Her role will not be replaced directly. Instead, her responsibilities will be taken on by other members of the senior leadership team including global chief executive Barbara Bates, group chief development officer Andy West and chief strategy officer Chris Paxton. MacLaverty resigned last Thursday and will spend her next two weeks at the agency managing the transition to her departure.

    Hotwire Names Chris Paxton As First Chief Strategy Officer

    HOTWIRE has poached chief executive of The Leading Edge Chris Paxton to be its first chief strategy officer. Paxton moves to the sister agency of his former employer on 4 February, joining its London office. He will become part of the agency's global leadership in his new role which will also see him serve up strategy and communications insights to clients. Paxton will also strengthen the relationship between Hotwire and The Leading Edge, agencies which both sit within the Enero group.
