    Newell Brands picks WPP as global comms partner

    NEWELL BRANDS has appointed agency holding group WPP to be its global communications partner across all its brands. The appointment follows a review of its agency roster. JWT will retain its spot as lead agency for the business. Wunderman Thompson - the product of its merger with WUNDERMAN - has been handed a digital marketing brief. It is accompanied by GEOMETRY handling shopper marketing, MINDSHARE leading media investment and Eicoff managing direct response TV. VMLY&R will take over social media.

    GSK moves global Panadol ad business into bespoke WPP team

    GLAXOSMITHKLINE has moved its global Panadol advertising business into a bespoke integrated WPP team following a competitive pitch. WPP will be responsible for creating integrated creative campaigns and content across advertising, digital, shopper activation and PR. The bespoke team consists of staff from GEOMETRY, GREY, HILL & KNOWLTON, Ogilvy Commonhealth and WUNDERMAN, and will be led by Grey Group Singapore's Konstantin Popovic as chief executive.
