    New Europe comms lead at Nissan as Stuart Jackson heads to Amazon

    NISSAN has named Jesse Verstraete its new vice president, communications following incumbent Stuart Jackson's announcement that he is leaving the business for AMAZON. Jackson will become Amazon's director of communications for Europe. Verstraete will be responsible for consumer, corporate and internal communications and CSR, leading a team of over 80 across 20 countries, and will manage Nissan's relationship with its agencies EDELMAN and WRG. He will report to the business' Europe chair Gianluca de Ficchy.

    Clarks hires Porter Novelli for wide-ranging brief after three-way pitch

    CLARKS has appointed PORTER NOVELLI to oversee a corporate communications brief. The agency fought off competition from EDELMAN and Weber Shandwick for the work which includes proactive corporate storytelling around the brand's transformation strategy including the return of the production of Clarks desert boots to the UK and crisis communications. The account will be headed up by Gordon Carver in its London office.
