    Tesco launches 100th-anniversary TV campaign

    TESCO has released the first TV ad for its 100th anniversary campaign. The 30-second ad, created by BARTLE BOGLE HEGARTY, features cultural references from across the decades alongside the price reductions it is making throughout January. A roller-disco girl, mods, and elderly women can all be seen shopping in the spot. TV icon Mr Blobby will also appear in print ads. The campaign also includes press, outdoor, radio, digital and social activity. MEDIACOM handled media.

    Barclays calls advertising review

    BARCLAYS has initiated a review of its advertising business. BARTLE BOGLE HEGARTY currently holds the account, estimated to be worth £30m. AAR is handling the review process which includes chemistry meetings due to take place next week. It is understood that BBH is repitching for the account.
