THE WORLD SOCIETY FOR THE PROTECTION OF ANIMALS has rebranded to World Animal Protection to build on its 50-year heritage and raise awareness of the work it does to end animal suffering. The new identity, which was created by Wolff Olins in collaboration with an in-house team at the charity, includes a new logo and a new strapline, "We move the world to protect animals". The strapline aims to communicate the message that the charity can’t fulfil its ambitions alone and needs the support of governments, corporates, supporters and policy makers. The move forms part of work the charity has done over the past three years to update its global strategy. Direct marketing and social media activity will communicate the rebrand to current supporters, while a marketing campaign which will launch in September will also promote its new brand positioning.
