    Not-so-hot Spurs: football club rapped by ASA for William Hill tweet

    THE ADVERTISING STANDARDS AUTHORITY has slammed TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR and WILLIAM HILL for a joint tweet posted before Spurs' Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on 5 March. The tweet featured Tottenham's starting line-up with a link to a page featuring betting odds from William Hill. The ASA investigated the tweet because it featured Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez, both under the age of 25 which breaches the CAP Code. The CAP Code rules that no-one under 25 can feature in marketing communications for a gambling brand, except in very specific circumstances. The ASA rule that the ad should not be used again in the current form.

    Anthony Joshua throws some knockout dance moves for William Hill

    WILLIAM HILL has launched a new campaign with brand ambassador Anthony Joshua. The 60-second spot sees heavyweight champion boxer Joshua take a moment to reflect upon his career after knocking out another opponent. Time slows down as Joshua breaks out some celebratory dance moves around the boxing arena. The six week campaign appeared on ITV, BT and SKY and will run on cinema and outdoor.
