    COVID-19: Channel 4 and 39 advertisers show support for NHS with ad break takeover

    CHANNEL 4 partnered with 39 major advertisers to show solidarity and support for the NHS treating those affected by coronavirus. The channel took over the ad break on 26 March at 8pm to showcase workers from the brands across retail, FMCG, banking and other sectors clapping and saying thank you to NHS staff. Channel 4 also ran content across digital and social media platforms featuring some of its most well-known characters clapping. Some of the advertisers involved were AMAZON, BOOTS, ICELAND, JUST EAT, THE NATIONAL LOTTERY and WILKO.

    B&M poaches Wilko finance boss Alex Russo as CFO

    B&M has appointed Alex Russo to the role of chief financial officer and executive director. He will take up his new position no later than June 2021 and joins from WILKO. Russo will replace Paul McDonald who is retiring after more than 10 years in the role.
