    Ticketmaster sidelines touts by axing resale platforms Seatwave and Get Me In

    TICKETMASTER has announced plans to crack down on ticket touts by closing its ticket resale platforms Seatwave and Get Me In. Both platforms were being used by ticket touts to hike up prices. Consumers wishing to resell unwanted tickets will still be able to do so through the Ticketmaster website, but they will only be allowed to charge face value or less. New buyers will also be able to see if their ticket is an original or resale through a colour-coding system.

    Ogilvy to handle PR for Cricket World Cup 2019 as campaigning begins

    OGILVY UK has been announced as the agency to handle PR for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Ogilvy has been tasked with driving engagement and awareness of the tournament with a new non-cricket audience, including a PR campaign for a beginner's guide to the Cricket World Cup. Other agencies appointed include THREEPIPE (media buying), Matta (creative), Ear to the Ground and Red Sky at Night (activation), Goat (influencer marketing) and Twelfthman (art-working). TICKETMASTER will handle ticketing for the tournament. The Cricket World Cup takes place in England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July 2019.
