    Snapchat and Tate Britain bring Turner artworks to life for launch of new £20 note

    THE NATIONAL GALLERY, TATE BRITAIN, Snapchat and the Bank of England teamed up for the launch of the new £20 note. A Snapchat lens was created that brings to life JMW Turner's famous painting using augmented reality. Users can use the Snapchat app and hover their camera over a new £20 note to trigger the AR. The note will then transform into Turner's The Fighting Temeraire and self-portrait, both which appear on the note, coming to life in full colour. The National Gallery is hosting a display of the £20 note, allowing visitors to use the Snapchat app to interact with the currency. Visitors to Tate Britain can discover Turner's self-portrait in eight rooms containing his artwork.

    Tate names Stink Studios as creative and strategic agency

    TATE has awarded its creative and strategic accounts to Stink Studios following a competitive pitch. The agency will be tasked with creating marketing campaigns for upcoming exhibitions, including the 2020 retrospective of Andy Warhol at Tate Modern and projects at Tate Britain.
