    Scottish Government takes tourism sector out of the woods with forest drive

    THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT has confirmed it will invest £1m to develop forest tourism across southern Scotland by 2021. The investment will be spent showcasing the region as an adventure tourism destination and promoting sustainable tourism. The Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund will also receive £3m through 2020-21 to boost the visitor experience in remote destinations.

    Hard-hitting public awareness campaign draws attention to illegal puppy farming

    THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT has unveiled a public awareness campaign about the practice of puppy farming. Narrated by a small child, the ad is told from the perspective of a puppy who has been bred illegally and is bought by a woman who doesn't know the signs of farming. The spot ends by telling viewers not to buy a puppy without papers or its mother. THE LEITH AGENCY created the cinema ad in conjunction with the SCOTTISH SPCA.
