    Co-operative Bank backs Guardian's fossil fuel ad ban with print execution

    CO-OP BANK ran a half-page ad in THE GUARDIAN's Saturday edition supporting the newspapers decision to ban all fossil fuel ads. The ad, created by MULLENLOWE, included a snippet of the news story about the Guardian's decision, next to the text 'Your paper's getting cleaner. Now what about your money?' before outlining its ethical banking credentials. HEARTS & SCIENCE handled media planning and buying.

    Co-op Bank starts trial of Good Loop’s ethical ad tech

    THE CO-OPERATIVE BANK is trialling ethical ad tech by Good Loop for its 'People with Purpose' campaign. The tech incentivises people to watch ads online by giving them the chance to 'unlock' a charity donation at the end of the video. Charities receive 50% of ad revenue, with the remainder going to the publisher and Good Loop as income. The ads will run on publications such as THE GUARDIAN, STYLIST and THE ECONOMIST, with charities including Center Point, REFUGE and AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL benefiting. Co-op Bank says that two-thirds of its customers are already likely to donate to charity. HEARTS & SCIENCE introduced the technology to Co-op.
