    O2 teams up with Snapchat to celebrate tenth anniversary of namesake London venue

    THE O2 ARENA is celebrating 10 years since its opening with a series of activations and a partnership with Snapchat to create what O2 believe will be the first ever user-generated Snapchat ad. The arena is hosting gigs from band Alt-J, singer Celine Dion and musician Ed Sheeran this week, prior to 24 June, precisely 10 years since rocker Bon Jovi performed at the venue’s opening night. Fans attending the gigs will be given pairs of Snapchat Spectacles to record footage that will be used in the O2 ad.

    NSPCC unveils new Share Aware ad with Catherine Tate

    THE NSPCC is launching a new campaign created by LEO BURNETT and voiced by TV star Catherine Tait. The work is part of the charity's 'Share Aware' initiative with O2 and Mumsnet which aims to give parents advice on child safety online. The campaign, which will run across TV, video-on-demand and radio, focuses on a young girl who is unsure whether to share her location online when promoted to do so. Other campaign activity includes a FACEBOOK LIVE event with representatives from Mumsnet, the NSPCC and O2, where parents can pose questions to the panel via Twitter and Mumsnet under the #ShareAware hashtag. The ads will run on SKY channels, ITV.COM, NEWSLINK, ABSOLUTE RADIO, Heart and GTN. OMD handled media planning and buying.
