    BP sparks campaigners' fury with new arts sponsorship deals

    BP has announced a £7.5m renewal of sponsorship deals with THE BRITISH MUSEUM, the NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY, the ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY and the ROYAL OPERA HOUSE. The current agreements will last for the next five years.

    THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE has launched a campaign to promote its annual arts festival, Deloitte Ignite 15. The performance venue collaborated with youth marketing agency LIVITY and Somewhereto, which sources free event and urban spaces for creative work, to produce an online film. Running throughout September, the festival takes place in well-known spaces around the Royal Opera House and features hip-hop dancers and ice skaters delivering a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.
