    Spend Analysis

    RECKITT BENCKISER was the highest spender in TV in Q1, investing £24.9m. This was 23% more than Q4 2016, yet 11% less than Q1 2016. The FMCG giant’s ad spend tends to peak in the first half of the year before declining through Q3 and Q4. In February it added toilet air freshener V.I.Poo to its AirWick range and supported this with a £950k TV campaign. Scholl (£3.2m), Dettol (£3.1m), Vanish (£2.6m) and Nurofen (£2.3m) received the largest share of Reckitt’s TV advertising budget.
