    Nurofen "What the @*!$?" by McCann London

    NUROFEN has launched a two-and-a-half-minute film created by MCCANN LONDON that shows how swearing helps tolerate pain. The ad explores whether swearing can take the edge off an injury through an experiment where participants put their hand in a cold water bath, firstly saying swear words and secondly saying alternative made-up words to get them through the experience. The work found that swearing increased pain thresholds by a third. The film ends by suggesting swearing can help pain tolerance until a Nurofen product is available.
