    Quaker slashes sugar levels in its hot cereal lineup

    QUAKER has changed its recipes for its hot cereal products to reduce sugar content. All added sugar has been removed, although natural flavourings will still be added to some products. The Oat So Simple original pot now has 29% less sugar, while the Oat So Simple golden syrup flavour has seen a sugar reduction of 12%. The product changes are part of parent company PepsiCo Inc's plans to offer healthier options to consumers. The re-formulated Quaker products are also rolling out in redesigned packaging.
