    GSK consolidates Pfizer consumer healthcare media with Publicis Media

    GSK has appointed Publicis Media to oversee PFIZER's consumer healthcare media as part of a joint venture between the two pharma firms announced last year. The account will be serviced by bespoke unit platformGSK, built in 2018 after the agency won the GSK media business. Pfizer's healthcare media is estimated to be worth around £300m.

    GlaxoSmithKline begins marketing overhaul amid Pfizer merger

    GLAXOSMITHKLINE CONSUMER HEALTHCARE is restructuring its media, marketing and digital units ahead of its merger with PFIZER later in the year. Head of global categories and chief marketing officer Carlton Lawson is leaving and will be replaced by Tamara Rogers. She will lead eight new category heads within the consumer healthcare business. Jayant Singh, Theresa Agnew, Jonathan Girling and Rick Sheppard have been appointed global marketing leaders for oral health, pain relief, cold & flu + allergy & OTC, dermatology and wellness respectively. All will report into Rogers. Meredith Herman has been named designate head of marketing edge, Andrew Barraclough is now designate head of design, Head of e-commerce Kevin O'Leary will lead the Digital Garage tea, and vice president of global digital innovation Nick Tate will lead the Next team. Tobias Hestler has been named designate chief finance officer.
