    ASA launches investigation into Vype e-cigarette Instagram

    THE ADVERTISING STANDARDS AUTHORITY is investigating seven INSTAGRAM posts made by British American Tobacco-owned e-cigarette brand VYPE, as pressure groups against smoking have deemed the posts irresponsible. Pressure group Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids argue the content should not be allowed on social media as it is accessible to everyone, especially under-18s. Instagram users do have to declare they are over 18 before accessing BAT's page as it is restricted.

    BAT claims world-first for Vype iSwitch device with Puretech heating system

    VYPE has revealed its iSwitch open system, the first vaping device to feature heating technology Puretech. The tech uses a stainless steel blade to heat the e-liquid rather than a coil and wick, and allows a more precise and measured way of heating the liquid to improve taste, smoothness, richness and consistency. The new tech is featured in Vype's iSwitch and iSwitch Maxx. The Maxx, the higher spec offering, is bluetooth-enabled and can be controlled by the MyVype app, which monitors 'puff count', battery level, and device performance.
