    Mothercare replaces senior leadership as firm gets to grips with new life

    MOTHERCARE has announced changes to its leadership team following the closure of all its 79 stores. Chief executive Mark Newton-Jones has stepped down. He will remain as an executive director until July. CFO Glyn Hughes has become interim chief executive and Andrew Cook joins to replace him as chief financial officer.

    Boots keeps Mothercare brand alive in UK with franchise agreement

    BOOTS will start selling MOTHERCARE products in the UK under a franchise agreement from 2020. The Mothercare-branded products will be available on its website from the middle of next year, and a wider range in larger stores from late summer. Some Boots stores will contain a Mothercare shop within them. The franchise partnership will initially run for five years.
