    Unilever and UN launch Unstereotype Alliance with Facebook, WPP and more to purge gender biases from ads

    UNILEVER has teamed up with UN Women, a UN entity that works to empower females, as part of its 'Unstereotype' campaign which successfully launched last year. UN women will help big advertisers and tech giants to remove stereotypical portrayals of gender in advertising. GOOGLE, MARS, FACBEOOK, MICROSOFT, WPP and more will also partake in the initiative. Progressive ads have been found to be 25% more effective than those that perpetuate stereotypes. The collective, named the 'Unstereotype Alliance', will hold their first event at Cannes this week.

    Microsoft "Real people: Emma Gannon" by McCann Erickson

    MICROSOFT launched a new campaign which celebrates ordinary people's work in their communities that is aided by Windows 10 devices. One 30-second ad stars a podcaster, blogger and author who uses Windows 10 on a HP Spectre x360 to create her content. The work debuted during ITV's Britain's Got Talent final and will be supported by 15-second online videos on the same theme. Microsoft collaborated with HP and INTEL on the campaign which was created by MCCANN ERICKSON.
