    THE MACULAR DISEASE SOCIETY has launched a campaign to highlight age-related macular degeneration. Smokers are twice as likely suffer from the condition than non-smokers - a fact that the 600 youngsters who start smoking everyday are unaware of. The 'Is it Real?' drive aims 'to make sure the message is received and use a positive force to motivate children and teenagers to stop smoking'.
