Macmillan revamps marketing strategy ahead of brand relaunch

MACMILLAN is preempting a brand relaunch by overhauling its marketing. The charity is looking to re-position itself to show that it can help cancer patients and their families through nursing, financial and psychological support. A series of TV ads by VCCP show people living as normally as possible with cancer. The 60-second 'Dad' ad sees a father reading his child a bedtime story before cutting to his struggle with cancer treatment. The aim is to communicate that even while dealing with cancer, people are still trying to live normally. Radio, outdoor and social will support the TV work. The brand re-launch is expected to take place in 2018.
