    Liverpool City Council appoints Tony Reeves as CEO

    LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL has appointed Tony Reeves to the role of chief executive. He takes over from Ged Fitzgerald who quit in May after being arrested for fraud.

    LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL has appointed LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL's chief executive, Ged Fitzgerald, to the same role, which he will take up in February 2011, replacing interim chief executive David McElhinney. The council has also temporarily promoted head of communications John Ramsden to the role of head of marketing, following the departure of Fiona Fleming.
