Injured Footballer ‘Shot Dead’ in Campaign Film for The League Against Cruel Sports

THE LEAGUE AGAINST CRUEL SPORTS has released a hard hitting campaign highlighting the number of injured horses killed on racecourses. A 45-second film was released showing a football player picking up an injury in a match. The player is carried off to the dressing room when he is then shot dead, echoing what happens to horses when they get injured during races. The ad ends with the message 'you wouldn't support football if injured players were executed, so why support horse racing?' The League will show the film on a digital ad van in Cheltenham ahead of the festival's 'Gold Cup Day' finale.
