    John Lewis appoints Eagle Eye to digital marketing brief

    JOHN LEWIS has appointed Eagle Eye to handle its digital customer marketing. The agency recently launched Smart Scanner in collaboration with mobile marketing and commerce provider Weve, which enables advertisers to send text messages to customers with a link to a digital coupon that can be scanned straight from a mobile phone.

    John Lewis and Waitrose test joint marketing campaigns in a bid to boost loyalty

    JOHN LEWIS and WAITROSE may merge marketing campaigns having previously kept advertising for the two companies separate. Acknowledging the large crossover between John Lewis and Waitrose shoppers in a report from the retailers' parent The John Lewis Partnership, the business suggested that the brands could work together more closely. ADAM&EVE/DDB handle both of the retailers' creative work. Joint marketing has already begun on the companies' loyalty schemes.
