    J.CREW chief marketing officer Vanessa Holden and chief executive Jim Brett have both resigned their roles. The retailer has said that the timing of their departures was coincidental.

    J. Crew chief executive steps down despite successful relaunch

    J.CREW's chief executive James Brett has departed after coming to a mutual agreement with its board of directors. His role will be filled by an office of the chief executive, comprising of four senior executives including president and chief operating officer Michael Nicholson, until a permanent management structure is established. Brett led the brand to a successful relaunch which saw the introduction of larger sizes, machine-washable suits and a reduction in prices.
