    COVID-19: Ikea opens Croydon food market for NHS staff and vulnerable people

    IKEA has opened the food market in its Croydon store to feed police, NHS staff, the elderly and vulnerable customers. The store was opened because of its proximity to Croydon University Hospital. It will stock the usual range of meatballs and hotdogs at its Swedish Food Market alongside grocery items including bread, milk and baked beans. The store will only be open to key workers and the most vulnerable, but members of the public will not admitted, and the rest of the outlet will remain closed. Social distancing will be put in place in store aswell.

    Ikea's first Christmas ad tackles 'home shame' during festivities

    IKEA has launched its first ever Christmas ad that encourages Brits to defy 'home shame' and open up their home to guests over the festive season. 'Silence the Critics' by MOTHER finds a couple, who are expecting guests, 'home shamed' by a number of inanimate objects who taunt them about the state of their flat. The couple then decide to spruce up their home with Ikea products, silencing the imaginary critics. The campaign debuted on 8 November during CHANNEL 4's Gogglebox and will be supported with activity across outdoor, press, CRM, social media and PR. Ikea will also host in-store events to show customers how to get their homes ready for the festive season.
