    IBM selected Weber Shandwick to lead revamped global agency roster

    IBM has appointed Weber Shandwick as it global anchor agency following a competitive review. The agency will support the tech giant across its business sectors worldwide, including the IBM Watson Content Hub, its newsroom stakeholder engagement, major events, forums and metrics. EVP Renee Austin, based in Weber's New York office, will lead on the account, drawing support from the agency's account teams around the world. IBM has also appointed Spectrum Science to work on Watson Health and thought leadership; Civic Entertainment Group to work on citizenship and influencer initiatives; and SKDKnickerbocker to handles its narrative, strategy development and IBM citizenship. KETCHUM and TEXT100 are the incumbents.

    IBM ends 17-year relationship with Ketchum

    IBM will no longer work with long-time partner KETCHUM, as the agency was knocked out in the first round of the company's global PR review. Having participated in the initial written stage, the agency did not advance to the next round.
