    Red Bull named energy drink partner of England Rugby

    RED BULL has been named as the official energy drink partner for England Rugby. The drink's company signed a multi-year partnership which will give support to both the men's and women's sevens teams during the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Players will use Red Bull products and equipment during training and major tournaments including the Six Nations and Quilter Internationals. As part of the activity, both partners will co-create the Red Bull Rugby Combine, an event designed to identify new talent for the England Rugby Sevens programme.

    HSBC to shed 35,000 jobs in radical move to downsize

    HSBC is dramatically reducing its operations in Europe and the US with 35,000 jobs to be cut. The bank hopes to slash annual costs by £3.5m and shed £77bn of assets adjusted for risk in the next three years. It also plans to shrink its sales and trading and equity research operations in Europe; move its structured products division from London to Asia; merge certain sections of its investment bank and commercial bank; and merge its global private bank into a retail banking unit. As part of the restructure, chief executive of the private bank António Simões is leaving.
