    Highland Spring and McCain censured by ads watchdog over on-pack competitions

    HIGHLAND SPRING and MCCAIN have been disciplined by the ASA for running misleading on-pack competitions. Highland Spring's 'H2Oomph' campaign promised an 'instant win', however buried within its terms and conditions was the fact that prizes were not guaranteed. McCain was also in trouble for its 'Great Village Raffle' campaign which suggested that it would give away 28,515 prizes but only ended up giving away 159. Again, despite the reality being outlined in the competitions terms and conditions, the advertising watchdog deemed that the promotion exaggerated the likelihood that consumers would win.

    Highland Spring launches H2Oomph promotion

    HIGHLAND SPRING has launched a new promotion entitled 'H2Oomph' as part of its wider 'Brave by Nature' campaign. Bottles of Highland Spring's Still 500ml flat cap, 750ml sports cap and multipacks will offer consumers a chance to win one of 10,000 'exciting experience' prizes, including 4D cinema tickets or an unusual weekend break. In-store, outdoor, digital, PR and social media activity will support the promotion. The brand will also refresh its 1l, 750ml and 330ml glass bottles.
