    2 Sisters offloads its Green Isle Brands frozen food business

    GREEN ISLE FOODS has been sold by parent company 2 Sisters Food Group to several investors. The brands have been acquired by a group of companies led by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund. It will retain the Green Isle brand identity and Donegal Catch, a brand operated by Green Isle Foods, following the purchase.

    Ex-Tayto chief gets state help to reel in Donegal Catch

    GREEN ISLE FOODS is expected to be bought out from Maurice Hickey, the former chief executive of Largo Foods. Hickey is believed to be the preferred bidder for the remaining businesses of Green Isle Foods and the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund is set to provide equity backing for the deal. The businesses for sale includes Donegal Catch, Co Galway and the Green Isle brand.
