    Iain Duncan Smith's 'pitbull' resigns as director of comms at DWP

    THE DWP's director of communications Richard Caseby is to depart on Friday in order to take up a role as partner in a management consultancy. He will be replaced John Stevenson, head of media at the DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE, on an interim basis until his successor is appointed. Caseby's departure follows the retirement of close colleague Robert Deveraux.

    Ogilvy wins govt brief to promote UK exports

    OGILVY & MATHER has picked up a brief for the DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE. The agency, with help from other parts of the Ogilvy group, has been tasked with creating a push for more businesses to sell abroad. Part of the 'Exporting is great' campaign, the brief will be supported by a £5m media budget and kick off later this year. The drive for a greater number of exports will put a lot of its focus on small to medium-sized businesses who may be wary of the administrative fees of increasing international sales.
