    Department for Education holds technical pitch

    DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION has initiated a review of a £3m account to launch and promote the new T level technical qualification. The DfE is hoping to raise awareness and create a positive impression of the qualifications before they start in 2020, with work expected to be released by the end of March or beginning of April. Agencies will be pitching for the account next week and the successful agency will start work later this month.

    Government launches campaign to revitalise apprenticeship programme

    THE DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION has launched a major campaign to boost the government's apprenticeship programme. Created by M&C SAATCHI, the 60-second spot entitled 'Fire it up' sees young people waking up and heading off to work as electrical sparks  of energy and passion fly off of them. It is designed to appeal to both employers and candidates, as the government looks to fulfill its commitment to create three million apprenticeships by 2020. The campaign will run across TV, VOD, cinema, social and search. It will be supported by career fairs and school engagement programmes, plus a jargon-free website with an overview of the scheme.
