    DC Thomson launches monthly magazine aimed at 55-plus female market

    DC THOMSON has launched a new monthly magazine entitled Platinum. The title is aimed at 55-plus females, covering subjects such as health, travel, fashion and financial advice, and will roll out supported by an outdoor, press, social and online campaign created by Wire. The creative features women of the target age range celebrating achievements around fitness, sex and careers. The debut issue will feature advertisers such as OLAY, LAITHWAITE'S and DOVE. The new product aims to overturn research that found 66% of women aged 55-plus feel misrepresented by media. It will be priced at £4.50, although £2 as an introductory offer, and be available from 20,000 outlets across the UK.
