    Gambling firms agree 'whistle-to-whistle' television sport advertising ban

    BET365, LADBROKES and PADDY POWER are among several gambling brands which have voluntarily agreed to introduce a ban on television advertising during live sports. The Remote Gambling Association agreed a deal with the betting firms which also included SKYBET, BETFRED, BETFAIR, UNIBET, CORAL and WILLIAM HILL to ensure that no adverts will be broadcast for a defined period before and after a game. The deal follows political pressure about the amount of betting ads on TV, as more than 90 minutes of adverts were shown during the football World Cup. Horse Racing will be exempt from the restrictions but all other sports will be included.

    Betfred extends Scottish League Cup title sponsorship

    BETFRED has extended its title sponsorship of the Scottish League Cup until 2019/2020. It has sponsored the competition for the last three years.
