    Carat lands Beiersdorf UK media business

    BEIERSDORF has handed its UK and Ireland media planning and buying account to CARAT. Incumbent WAVEMAKER, which had worked with the personal care giant for seven years, did not repitch for the business. OMD reportedly pitched against Carat.

    Publicis Groupe scoops global Nivea ad account

    BEIERSDORF has named Publicis Groupe as Nivea's global advertising partner. The personal care company also hired WPP to work on its Eucerin and Hansaplast brands following a pitch. Omnicom and ACCENTURE INTERACTIVE were also involved in the pitch. Publicis is setting up a bespoke agency network team called One Touch to manage the business. It will handle all Nivea's skincare and deodorant brand advertising, spanning creative through to digital. The partnership officially kicks off in January.
