    Bayer appoints WA Health

    BAYER has handed its government affairs for its cardiovascular treatment to WA Health following a competitive pitch. The agency is tasked with supporting Bayer’s market-access work to assist its expansion into coronary or peripheral arterial disease, as well as its work in anti-coagulation for stroke prevention. The agency team will report to Andrew Brown, Bayer's government and industry affairs manager.

    Bayer to cut 12,000 jobs and sell brands

    BAYER is planning to cut 12000 jobs and sell brands including Dr Scholl's foot care and Coppertone sunscreen in an effort to cut costs. It also plans to sell its animal health division, which could be worth up to €7bn (£6.2bn) and is seeking a buyer for its 60% stake in Currenta. The job cuts and sales will result in costs of more than €4bn.
