    Asos taps Britvic’s Mathew Dunn for new CFO

    ASOS has appointed Mathew Dunn to the role of chief financial officer. He joins in April 2019 from BRITVIC where he holds the same role. He will fill the position left by Helen Ashton who departed earlier this year and takes the reigns from chief executive Nick Beighton who is overseeing the role on an interim basis.

    Asos reduces ad spend – here’s where it’s investing instead

    ASOS has cut its advertising investment from 6% of its revenue to 4%. It is still working with agencies, such as UNCOMMON, but is more focused on developing new products and brands. Its new Collusion clothing line aimed at 16-20 year olds has already been very successful. The online retailer is also looking to AI and voice technology to encourage more sales, particularly from its app, which sees customers often save items but not purchase them.
