    Dairy Crest readies lactose-free Cathedral City range

    DAIRY CREST has announced plans to release a lactose-free version of its Cathedral City cheese brand. It hopes that the new product will win consumers from ARLA FOODS' Lactofree range. The lactose-free cheese will appear on supermarket shelves in the next few months and it will be followed by an expanded Cathedral City snacking range, which will feature new caramelised onion and sweet chilli variants. It is also planning the launch of new products under the previously ingredient-focused Promovita brand, and a new vegan baking block for its Vitalite range. Clover Light will also receive a new artificial ingredient-free variant.

    Lurpak showcases Softest range with sandwich activation

    LURPAK is touring the UK to promote its Softest variant. The activation will see visitors making their own sandwiches in three different stages. Guests will first pick a freshly baked bread from a bakery window, then visit a chilled room to demonstrate the spread-ability of Softest even when cold, and finally a room to pick a filling. The experience was created by BD NETWORK, and will visit Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester.
