    Interpublic's UM wins American Express global media account

    AMERICAN EXPRESS has named UM as its global media agency of record following a competitive pitch. MINDSHARE loses the business having held the account for 20 years. DIGITAS lost its digital planning and buying duties, but retained the digital creative business. UM will handle media planning and buying, strategy and analytics for Amex across 22 markets around the world.

    Unilever among brands in new council to clean up digital marketing

    UNILEVER, DIAGEO, PROCTER & GAMBLE, SAMSUNG and AMERICAN EXPRESS are among the advertisers who have joined a digital advertising council created by Unruly. The council aims to get rid of distrust in digital marketing due to issues like lack of transparency. WAVEMAKER, HAVAS MEDIA and CARAT are also among the advertisers who plan to participate in the council and bring their clients closer to digital data.
