    Save the Children’s Nick Jones joins Action for Children

    ACTION FOR CHILDREN has hired Nick Jones as managing director of fundraising, communications and policy. He will be responsible for developing and delivering strategy while also leading on business development activity. He joins from SAVE THE CHILDREN.

    WRIGLEY’S EXTRA has launched its new ‘Smile Back’ campaign to inform families on the importance of good oral health. For the duration of the 8-week campaign by BBDO, for every pack of sugar-free gum sold in the UK, Wrigley’s will donate money to ACTION FOR CHILDREN to support the charity’s push for good oral health amongst disadvantaged families in the UK. The campaign includes a TV ad by ABBOT MEAD VICKERS BBDO which outlines the gum brand’s pursuits and features a variety of children smiling and laughing. In addition, copies of children’s book, The Lost Smile, commissioned by the brand will be given away at CO-OPERATIVE stores in areas where tooth decay is most prevalent. Proceeds from the giveaway are to be split between Action for Children and the Oral Health Foundation.
